Level 0 / Entrance

Every swapfeeds the vault.Stake ETH or QV.

Quantum Vault is a Uniswap v4 hook on Ethereum. It takes 1% of every swap in its pools, and it holds a vault where you can stake ETH or QV and withdraw whenever you want.

Four steps through the hook

Each currency has its own vault on the hook. Fees and stakes are always tracked per currency.

  1. Someone swaps

The hook withholds 1% of the amount the swapper specifies: the input on exact-in trades, the output on exact-out.

  2. Stake that currency

Deposit ETH or an ERC-20 into its vault on the hook. No fee to stake or unstake.

  3. Rewards in QV

The hook can mint QV for that currency's stakers on each fee, up to the 1B supply cap. See the docs for the current status.

  4. Claim or unstake

Withdraw whenever you like. Unstaking returns your deposit and pays any pending QV in the same transaction.

Staked deposits are tracked apart from protocol fees. The owner can only withdraw the fees, never what stakers deposited.

Level −2 / Fee chamber

How rewards are calculated

Take the ETH vault as an example. Each swap that pays its fee in ETH can mint QV for ETH stakers, limited by how much QV is left under the cap. The calculator reads that limit live from the token.

An estimate, not a promise. Rewards depend on swap volume, total stake, the QV rate set by the owner and the QV left under the 1B cap. How rewards work.

Level −3 / Distribution

QV follows swap volume

QV is minted only when a fee is actually collected and someone is staked in that currency. No swaps, no new QV.

Level −4 / QV token

The core: QV, capped at one billion

QV is the Quantum Vault token, capped at 1,000,000,000. Whatever is not minted at launch can only be created by the vault hook, as staking rewards. The figures below are read live from the token contract.

Minted so far
…Reading the token contract
Left for staking rewards
…Only the vault hook can mint it, as rewards.

Who can mint

  • Only the address set as minter: the vault hook
  • Once the minter is locked, nobody can ever change it
  • No mint can push the supply past 1,000,000,000 QV
  • The website and X profile are stored in the token contract itself

The owner can withdraw the protocol's fees and adjust the QV-per-fee rate up to a fixed cap. The owner cannot touch staked deposits.

Level −5 / Protocols

Read this before you go down

Rewards can be zero
No swaps charged in your currency means no QV.
QV has no fixed value
Rewards are paid in QV, whose price can fall.
The rate can change
The owner can raise or lower QV per fee, within a cap.
Rewards end at the cap
Once 1B QV exists, staking earns nothing more.
Smart contracts can fail
Code can contain bugs. Check whether it has been audited.
